Stage 2
EA Stage 2 CPD Writing Services
Your CPD record is not just an administrative requirement. In an EA Stage 2 application, it helps show that your competence is active, current, and professionally maintained.
Overview
What is Stage 2 CPD Writing?
For Stage 2 and Chartered applications, CPD is used to show that you have continued to learn, improve, and maintain the competencies expected of an engineer practising independently.
Engineers Australia checks the adequacy of your CPD during pre-assessment before inviting you to interview. At application stage, there is no minimum CPD hour requirement — CPD must be appropriate and adequate. The 150 hours over three years rule applies to maintaining credentials.
Requirements
Requirement for Stage 2 CPD
You need at least 150 hours of CPD activities every three years since completing Stage 1 to be eligible for Stage 2 competency assessment. These activities must cover every CPD Type and Condition. The breakdown of hours is:
- 50 hours related to your area of practice (+50 hours for an additional area of practice, if any)
- 10 hours for risk management
- 15 hours for business and management skills
- 75 hours of activities relevant to your career (only 40 hours if you have an additional area of practice)

Our Approach
How we build stronger submissions
A weak CPD page looks like a list. A strong CPD page looks like evidence of continuing competence.
Clean up the structure
We organise your CPD into a format that is easier to review and more professional to read.
Improve the wording
Many engineers record CPD too briefly. We strengthen entries so they show relevance and professional value.
Align it with your practice
We make sure your CPD record reflects your current engineering role, responsibilities, and area of practice.
Support your broader Stage 2 application
Your CPD should reinforce your competency claims, not sit separately from them.
Our Process
How we work
CPD Review
We review your existing CPD material, certificates, logs, and informal learning history.
Relevance Check
We identify which activities are strongest and most relevant to your engineering role and area of practice.
Structuring and Writing
We organise and refine the entries into a cleaner, more professional CPD record.
Final Polishing
We improve formatting, wording, and consistency so the document feels complete and submission-ready.
